Sustainability at Infor (Part 1)

Our last six conversations have focused on the importance of reducing energy costs and carbon emissions and how Infor’s customers are using enterprise asset management (EAM) to become more sustainable organizations. At Infor, we are big believers in practicing what we preach. With that in mind, I sat down with Brian Rose, chief information officer at Infor, to discuss what we are doing to become more sustainable.

In the first of our two-part conversation, Brian and I discuss how in only three years, Infor has achieved reductions in the number of data centers, servers and towers we are using globally. The result has been a significant reduction in overall energy usage and, as a result, in carbon emissions. We also discuss how Infor is using our own EAM Asset Sustainability Edition to reduce energy usage at our headquarters in Alpharetta, Ga.
