Condition Based Monitoring

Not since the Great Depression have American companies had to do more with less. Less revenue, higher utility costs, and reductions in skilled labor have placed organizations in uncharted waters. The difference between 1929 and today is that technology has advanced to a level where we can see—and do—more to offset the impact. This is especially true in asset and maintenance management.

When it comes to sustaining assets, maintenance professionals are moving away from a defensive and reactive approach to a planned and proactive strategy by using condition based monitoring (CBM). CBM saves organizations money by monitoring assets for potential problems and allowing action to be taken before costs are incurred due to an increase in the energy used, a slowdown in production, or a complete shutdown.

One of your biggest decisions is to select and maximize technology. Without a crystal ball it's easy to second guess, or worse, delay a decision that can help provide solutions today.

What are the biggest pain points you’re facing? Is it one, or all of the above, or something new? Is there data that exists, but you can’t access? Are there silos of data that are being held "sacred" while at the same time being held hostage? Do you feel like you’re making the most of the technology you do have and have a high level of confidence in its ability to not only survive but to thrive?

Infor Public Sector has released a new suite of powerful software solutions that leverage your existing solutions, provide a value proposition that includes an almost immediate return on your investment, and operational efficiencies that are unprecedented. For the first time, maintenance and operations have visibility into SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and maintenance management systems.

Eighty-five percent of your equipment will never fail on a date and time of your choosing but we still focus on calendar-based maintenance. With Infor Hansen’s Condition Based Monitoring, you’re able to "listen" to your equipment and trigger automated work orders and run-time hour/cycle count upload.
