Infor OS Update: Enterprise Connector, Data Lake, and mobile enhancements

January 17, 2019

This week marks the following new feature roll-out to users of Infor OS Cloud Edition (CE).

Connect Enhancements

  • Enterprise Connector Proxy service: If you need to use a proxy service in the DMZ for the communication between the Enterprise connector and the Infor Cloud, you can now configure that in the installer of the Enterprise Connector.
  • Enterprise Connector Custom database driver: In the Enterprise Connector, you can now use a custom database driver for an application connection point (inbox/outbox) or a database connection point.
  • IMS Swagger documentation: The Swagger documentation for the IMS API is now available from the Configuration> ION Service page.
  • Approved mapping: If you approve a mapping, but that mapping has unsaved changes in the details page, you now get a confirmation message so that you can either confirm the saving and approval or cancel it. Additionally, the draft in the version list has an indicator (yellow triangle) for unsaved changes.
  • Alarms Renamed status: On the Alarms page and the details page, the Failed status is renamed to Canceled. An alarm is canceled if the alarm template is deactivated, so it is actually not a failure of the alarm as such.
  • Task Manager Widget: When you use the search box in the Task Manager homepage widget, the matching texts are now highlighted in the results list.
  • OneView Restyled dialog: The pop-up dialog showing the message contents is restyled. Additionally, it shows the type and size of the document.
  • Oneview Renamed heading label: A heading label on the Add Filters pop-up is renamed from Standard Header Fields to Standard Fields because not all fields listed in the section are header fields.
  • Data Catalog New filter pane: A new filter pane is available on the Custom Object Schemas page so that you can more easily find a specific schema or set of schemas. You can filter on object name, object type, or last update (user or date and time).
  • Data Catalog Properties method: In the API, the GET /datacatalog/v1/noun/{Noun}/properties method now also provides thestatusxpath.
  • Restyled icon: On modeling overview pages, the icon to indicate that a model was edited since the last activation is restyled.

IPaaS Mobile Enhancements

  • Alignment with web application: The format of numeric values (including decimal sign and number of digits) and the Notification icon in the mobile application are now the same as in the web application.
  • Renamed status: In the Alarms app, the Failed status is renamed to Canceled. An alarm is canceled if the alarm template is deactivated, so it is actually not a failure of the alarm as such. Additionally, the filtering on the Active status is corrected (previously, completed alarms were also shown), and the filter statuses are reordered for better usability.

Data Lake Enhancement

  • New data object header properties are available in the Data Lake:
    • RevisionID and VariationID
    • BatchID, BatchSequence, BatchSize, BatchRevision and BatchAbortIndicator
  • The values are set based on the header fields from the message that arrives through the data lake flow. TheRevisionID, VariationID, and BatchID can also be used in a filter in the Data Lake API.

A similar set of features will be available in the 12.0.31 Infor OS release for on-premise customers. A full list of new features, bugs fixed, and other documentation can be found on Infor Xtreme.  Learn more about Infor OS here or contact us anytime.
